Services / 01 — Cryogenic

LNG transport:
at −162 °C, by cryogenic tanker.

We transport LNG — kept liquid at −162 °C — safely in vacuum-insulated cryogenic tankers. Under our EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority) LNG Transmission Licence, we provide an end-to-end service from terminal to end user.

Process / The LNG journey

How does an LNG
shipment move?

From the moment a request is confirmed to the moment the report is delivered, every LNG shipment passes through five controlled steps. Each step has a named owner, a checklist and a record — and −162 °C is maintained all the way.

  1. Step 01 · Office & operations centre

    Request & planning

Together we pin down the product, quantity, origin and destination, time window and regulatory requirements. Vehicle, ADR-certified driver, route and documents are then matched to the product class.

    • Route and risk analysis: tunnels, built-up areas, rest stops
    • Assignment of product-appropriate cryogenic equipment and driver
    • Terminal loading slot and delivery window

  2. Step 02 · LNG terminal

    Loading at the terminal · −162 °C

The cryogenic tanker berths at the LNG terminal (e.g. Marmara Ereğlisi, Aliağa) in line with site procedures. The loading arm is connected and the product is transferred at −162 °C, in the liquid phase, into the vacuum-insulated tank. The vehicle does not set off until weighing, leak-tightness and paperwork checks are complete.

  3. Step 03 · Road · 24/7 monitoring

On the road: pressure and temperature monitoring

The on-board telematics unit sends position, speed and the temperature, pressure and level readings from the tank sensors to the operations centre. If a value leaves its threshold or the vehicle deviates from its route, the driver and the centre are alerted at the same time.

    • Real-time GPS position and route-deviation tracking
    • Minimal heat ingress thanks to the vacuum between the double walls
    • Designated rest stops and driver rest-time monitoring

  4. Step 04 · Delivery point

    Discharge at the delivery point

The tanker is connected to the customer’s cryogenic storage tank with the discharge hose, and the product is transferred in line with the site instructions. Delivery is completed with a leak-tightness check and quantity measurement. On site, the LNG passes through a vaporiser and returns to gas.

  5. Step 05 · Close-out

    Reporting

Each trip is closed out with a report covering temperature, pressure and route data. Our corporate customers can access shipment-level data, and these records make the next round of planning even better.

FAQ / Frequently asked

LNG Transport: frequently asked questions.

Why is LNG transported at −162 °C?

At atmospheric pressure, natural gas liquefies at −162 °C and its volume shrinks by a factor of about 600. This makes it economical to transport to places the pipeline network doesn’t reach. Our cryogenic tankers hold this temperature throughout the journey thanks to their vacuum-insulated, double-walled construction.

What does the EMRA LNG Transmission Licence mean?

In Türkiye, transmitting LNG by road requires a licence from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). As a licence holder, Ventes Lojistik carries out LNG transport within the legal framework and under regulatory supervision.

Which services do you offer besides LNG haulage?

Alongside LNG transport, we provide terminal berthing services; supply services such as crew, provisions and fuel; crew changes and protective agency; and maintenance, repair and survey services.

How can I track my shipment?

Our vehicles are tracked 24/7 via GPS/telematics. Throughout the trip, our operations centre shares position, estimated arrival and delivery details with you, and corporate customers also receive shipment-level temperature and pressure reports.
